Care Guarantee

At VicAviary, all our birds are tested negative for Polyomavirus (PVD) and Psittacine Beak, and Feather Disease (PBFD). We provide detailed health documentation with every bird we sell.

We ensure that every bird is healthy and free from symptoms of disease or parasites at the time of sale. This includes freedom from viral infections, pathogenic bacterial infections, fungal infections, and congenital defects. For weaned birds (those eating independently), we offer a 7-day health guarantee. Customers are strongly encouraged to have their bird(s) examined by an avian veterinarian within this period. If a veterinarian determines that the bird is unfit for sale, official documentation must be provided to VicAviary within 24 hours of the examination for an exchange or full refund.

Please note that birds purchased unweaned (requiring hand-feeding) are not covered by any health guarantee. There are no refunds, exchanges, or replacements if the customer cannot care for an unweaned bird.

If the buyer does not have the bird(s) examined by an avian veterinarian within 7 days of pickup or delivery, the sale is considered final, and no guarantees or refunds will be offered. All birds are sold “as is,” including rehomed birds.

VicAviary is not responsible for any veterinary expenses incurred. For the health and safety of all pets, we strongly recommend quarantining any new bird(s) upon arrival.

Non-refundable deposit

To secure your baby bird until pickup, a non-refundable deposit equivalent to 20% of the final price is required. The remaining balance must be paid in full at the time of shipping or pickup.
